Billy graduated from AAHS in 1977 along with his cousin and friend William P. Nelson. Billy joined the US Marine Corps after graduation and became a military medic. He later became an EMT, followed by becoming a firefighter rising to the rank of Fire Chief. He spent two years in Iraq during the war and taught Iraqi fire crews proper techniques for fighting fires. Bill was married when he passed and had two daughters whom he cherished.
