Honored Military Alumni
David Isaacson Class of 1967
Air Force, 20+ Years Chief Isaacson completed Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX in February 1968. Assigned to Chanute AFB, IL for training as a Jet Engine Technician, he graduated with honors and was assigned to the 51st Field Maintenance Squadron, Naha AB, Okinawa, in August 1968. While stationed at Naha AB, he was sent on three separate Temporary Duty Assignments to Suwon AB, Korea. His next assignment was to the 4661st Materiel Squadron, Hamilton AFB, CA, in May of 1970, where he served as Assistant Superintendent of the Jet Propulsion Facility until his separation from the Air Force in December 1971. In October 1989 he rejoined the Air Force, assigned to the 442d Civil Engineer Squadron at Richards-Gebaur AB, MO. In June 1994 he was reassigned to Whiteman AFB, MO. During his thirteen-year tenure at Whiteman he held various positions, including Heavy Construction Superintendent, First Sergeant, and Chief of Personnel. Isaacson deployed to Al Dhafra AB, United Arab Emirates as Chief of Operations, 763rd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron's Civil Engineer Flight, supporting Operation SOUTHERN WATCH. He was selected as the 442d Mission Support Group Superintendent for Personnel, Whiteman AFB, MO, in February 2002. In 2003, in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, he deployed to Kirkuk AB, Iraq as First Sergeant for the 303rd Fighter Squadron/442d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. In December 2004 Isaacson was selected as the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 442 Fighter Wing, Whiteman AFB, MO. He held the position until his retirement in December 2007.
