Graduated in 62 From Parris Island as a PFC then on to Geiger for Advanced Infantry School. From there to Camp Lejeune, N.C. and assigned to I Co, 3RD BATT 3RD MARINES





Graduated from Parris Island as a PFC. Then to Camp Geiger for AIT, the stationed with I Co 3rd Batt, 6TH Marines @ Lejeune. Assigned to MP'S at Base MP. On to Guantanamo Bay Cuba in 63 manning the Fenceline Border Stations during the Cuban Missile Crisis on Leward Point. Selected as a Embassy Guard in Italy. Later transferred to Portsmouth Va for Discharge.

United States Submarine Service. Aboard the USS Skate SSN(578) when it surfaced at the North Pole on March 17, 1959. The first submarine to do so in history. Also served aboard the ballistic submarine USS U.S. Grant SSBN(631) on its first patrol off Vietnam.
