Former MLB player (New York Mets)

What is Kevin Morgan known for?

Kevin Lee Morgan, born on December 3, 1969, in Lafayette, Louisiana, is recognized as a former Major League Baseball player and current executive with the Minnesota Twins. Morgan attended Southeastern Louisiana University and played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 1989.

During his early career, he was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 30th round of the 1991 MLB Draft. However, his journey led him to be traded by the Tigers to the New York Mets in 1994. Notably, Morgan made his MLB debut on June 15, 1997, for the New York Mets, but it was also his last MLB appearance. He had only one at-bat in his major league career, where he unfortunately popped out on the first pitch.

Despite these on-field statistics, Morgan's contributions to the sporting world extended beyond his playing career. He served the New York Mets as their Director of Minor League Operations, showing his keen involvement in the game's development. His life encapsulates the journey of a sports personality from being a player to becoming an integral part of a sports organization's executive team.
