Retired as a Sergeant First Class (Promotable). Served in the Administrative Branch. Special duties assignments included Drill Sergeant, Instructor, Assistant Inspector General, and Military Entrance Processing Station.

Retired in 1992 as a Master Chief Petty Officer. I spent my entire career in Naval Aviation working on helicopters, turboshaft engins, gearboxes, and rotor blades. Eventually achieved the title of Command Master Chief of a large training squadron. My rate/rate at retirement was AFCM (AW)
