Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Chalfont Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as a senior vice commander. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League and Disabled American Veterans Association. He was proud to be a member of Chalfont Chemical Fire Engine co., serving with the fire police. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He had 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren.
