Thomas J. Verbeck

Class of 1969

Brig. Gen. Thomas J. Verbeck, USAF served with distinction as Director of Command, Control, Communications (C3) and Warfighting Integration, Headquarters, U.S. European Command, Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany; in 92 countries. This position culminated 33 plus years of service to his country.

A 1969 graduate of Abington High School, General Verbeck entered the Air Force in 1974 through the ROTC program at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. His career includes numerous command, control and communications assignments, highlighted by service as Director of Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems and Chief of Staff for Joint Task Force Southwest Asia and Director of Staff, Air Combat Command. He held numerous joint staff and Air Staff positions, and he commanded four squadrons, one group and the Air Force Communications Agency.

General Verbeck wears the Master Communications Badge and the Master Air Traffic Control Badge.
