About James (Jim) Ronald Ernest Marrington, age 63, of Bridge Lake passed away unexpectedly on Aug.30, 2021 in a motor vehicle accident. Jim was a jack of all trades. But focused mostly on carpentry work. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors, fishing and hunting or working on something.
He loved spending time with his family, friends and his two dogs, Tia and Tucker. He was always up for an adventure, enjoyed having a good time and loved to make people laugh.
Jim was born in Abbotsford, where he spent most of his life until moving to the Cariboo, 16 years ago. He was born to his mother, Mary Marrington and late father, Ronald Marrington.
He leaves behind his sisters, Linda (John) and Donna (late Gord), ex wife and friend, Avis Marrington, his 3 children, Alisha, Ben (Taryn) and Sarah (Frank) and 6 grand daughters- Emily, Caitlin, Arianna, Kaydence, Aubree, Olivia and his only grandson, Jaxson. Jim was an amazing father and grandfather, a generous and thoughtful friend. He was one of a kind and had a heart of gold. He will be forever missed by all those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
“Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us, our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life.”
