My love of sailing led me to learn more about seamanship, so I joined the Coast Guard. I was on active duty in 1982-86. Honorably discharged as a BM2 (E-5) having earned the qualification of Heavy Weather Lifeboat Coxswain. Met my wonderful husband, Wes, while serving together at Ocean City, MD.

I ended up with a disability discharge during my second enlistment after a I had a severe neck and back injury in the line of duty.

Our Weston High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
