I got out of the Navy in 19 67 and joined the Washington Air National Guard in Spokane, Washington. in 1987 I was awarded a U.S. Airforce Disability retirement due to injuries from a fall from a KC135 aircraft .

After discharge, I returned to the Seattle area and worked for the Federal Government for 34 years and retired as the Director of Federal Telecommunications for the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA) Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington).
