Class of 1982
Coast Guard, 6 Years
I served for 12 months of isolated duty on a LORAN "C" radio navigationial transmitter station in the middle of the Pacific Ocean... March Island, Japan. Afterwards, I spent a little more than a year at the Coast Guard Far East Section headquarters office in Tokyo, Japan. After being promoted to Yeoman Third Class, I was transferred to the Coast Guard Institute in Oklahoma City, which was followed by one year of recruiting duty in Atlanta, Georgia.

Served as a ballistics meteorologist in the heavy artillery. Stationed in Camp Lejeune North Carolina, Camp Pendleton Calif, Twenty Nine Palms Calif, & in Okinawa Japan. Was honorably discharged as a Cpl In 1984.

Army, 6 Years
I served over 6 years as a Combat Engineer. I left the Army at the rank of Sergenat (E-5). i was responsible for the mobility, countermobility and survivability of a Brigade sized combat team. I worked extensively with demolitions to include Comp B, and C-4. I also emplaced and removed minefields, and other obstacles.
I spent 2 years in Germany, 2 years in Ft. Riley, Kansas, and 2 years in Ft. Carson, Colorado.
