Retired Master Sergeant with 23 years of service.
Stationed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs CO. as a Civil Engineer / S.E.R.E support team member. Served in Desert Shield / Storm, Southern Watch and Enduring Freedom. While serving in the Air Guard in NY, held the position of Superintendent of the Emergency Aircraft Arresting system shop (BAK 12-14). Activated to NYC Ground Zero for recovery/ security operations after 9/11 attacks. Proud of Son Doug Allen (Jr) '05 SV graduate now 2nd LT in the Air Force soon to be attending flight school, third generation Air Force.

First Assignment to England from 80-82, at which time had Temporary assignments to Sudan, Philippines and Turkey. Next 82-83, FE Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming, TDY’s to Korea and Alaska. Next to Germany 83-86. TDY’s to Spain, Italy and Greece. Next back to England from 86-92 TDY’s to United Arab Emirates, next Alaska 92-93 & finally to Keesler AFB, Mississippi 93-2000. Have lived in Biloxi Mississippi since.

Our Susquehanna Valley High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Susquehanna Valley High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
