Army, 17 Years
Joined Army in January 1985, Aviation Branch. Assigned Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Ga. Flight Engineer CH-47D Chinook helicopters. Deployed to Honduras as part of "War Eagle III" in 1986 and 1987. Two years of Reserve duty with UH-1 "Hueys" after Regular Army service. College, then civilian flight school. Back into the Army and back to Chinooks in 1999. Deployed to Kuwait and Afghanistan coming back home in October of 2007. Will redeploy again in 2009 to Afghanistan (currently thats what they tell me!).

Our Springfield High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Springfield High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Holland are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
