TCTO monitor for F-106 fighter-interceptor of the 325th Fighter Wing (318th Fighter Squadron) of the Air Defense Command at McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington (1966-1967). Served overseas in the Pacific Air Force at Clark AFB in the Philippines (1968).

Main service was as an Electrics Technician aboard "tin cans" (DDs) in the Atlantic Ocean during the Korean situation.

Served on Active Duty from 11 January 1971 thru 22 March 1978, with the US Army Medical Command, Europe, Stationed at the US Army Hospital, Vicenza, Italy, and a Medical Detachment, in Muencweiler, Germany. With the Ohio National Guard, Headquarters Company, of the 148th Inf Bn, Lima, OH from July 1985 thru May 2002.
