After training I went to Germany for 31 months then to Ft. Riley, KS, on to Ft. Knox, KY and then to Ft. Richardson, AL where I got out of the service. I worked as a dental assistant.

I joined the Army April 23, 1973, went thru Basic Training at Fort McClellan, AL, then Advanced Training in Fort Ord, CA. In August 1973 I was stationed at the USMLM in Berlin Germany for the next 4 years. In 1979 I began working Federal Civil Service while I was living in Alexandria, VA, then transferred to Weisbaden, Germany, and from there transferred to Fort Huachuca, AZ which is where I retired from on April Fool's Day, 2011.

Worked as an avionics technician on the Navy's P-3 Orion patrol aircraft. Highlight of my time in the Navy was 3 seperate deployments to different locations in Europe.

Was a aircraft mechanic on RF-4C/D Phantoms and F-15C/D Eagles also a Flight Engineer on C-130E/H and AC-130H Gunships I've been to to many countries to count and deployed to most of the worst places starting with Desert Shield. Retired in 2008 and have a civilian job deploying.

Bliss, TX Conus Replacement Center 2005-2006 as Executive Officer, Mobilized to Ft. Benning, GA 2010-2011 as Company Commander of Alpha Company Conus Replacement Center.

Our South Winneshiek High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our South Winneshiek High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
