I served two active duty in the regular Army and two reserve years. Served at Fort Carson, CO. I worked for the Exercise and Evaluation Division planning war games for multi-branch training.

Army, 10 Years
I joined the Army on my 21 Birthday in 1979. Sent to Ft. Leonardwood, MO for basic training and then went to Lowery AFB, Denver, CO for AIT and trained for my MOS(Military Occupational Specialty/My Job) as a Graphic Illustrator-81E. From there I was Stationed at Coleman Barracks, Mannheim, Germany. I spent 3 1/2 years there( S-3, 3rd BDE, 8th Inf. Div.). Re-enlisted for Frankfurt. I worked at the Abrams Complex (3rd Support Command) in Frankfurt, Germany. I got orders for (US Army Audio Visual Center, Graphic Media Division) the Pentagon in Washington, DC in 1984. I left the service in April of 1986 and stayed in DC for a while. Went back to Iowa in 1988. Joined the Army again October of 1989. Went to Fort Gordon, Augusta, GA (Tactical Satellite/Microwave Operator-31Q). Then went to Camp Carroll, South Korea. Came back to the states in 1991 and was stationed in Fort Bragg, NC. I got out of the Army in October of 1992.
