Joined the Army in 1966. Served as an aircraft maintenance officer in Vietnam and Germany until 1972 when I left active duty. Joined the TN National Guard in 1973 and served as a "traditional" soldier until 2001 when I went back on active duty with the Guard as a logisitcs officer with the Counterdrug Task Force. Retired as a COL in 2008 with over 42 years service.

Basic and AIT and 1st duty station was at Fort Sill OK, was stationed in Germany for 2yrs and Korea for 1 were he guard a Four Star General for 4 months, The rest of his time was at Fort Sill, he also say alot of Sand during the 12 yrs

Served as a Heavy Equipment mechanic and operator and a 50 cal. machine gunner. Trained at many different Bases throughout the world. Two tours in the Persian Gulf during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Served in Bosnia during the Bosnian Conflict. Left active duty in the Corps as a Sgt.
