Class of 1961
Navy, 20+ Years
Served five years in the active navy and 15 years in the active reserves and am now retired. Served two years on a destroyer, two tours in Viet Nam and one year at a weapons test range in the Bahamas.

DJ Hurd

Marine Corps, 8 Years
DJ entered active duty with the United States Marine Corps in September of 2001. He served 5 years on active duty, and had his End of Active Service (EAS) in september of 2006. He spent his remaining time in the reserves while attending attending classes at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He was honorably discharged in April of 2009.

Enjoyed my time on active duty and finished my last eighteen months at Myrtle Beach AFB, South Carolina, this tour in SC was my reward for having spent eighteen months in the desert in North Africa.
