Marine Corps, 19 Years

I left for boot camp the day after we graduated and spent three months in boot camp in San Diego, CA training to become a U.S. Marine. Once I became a Marine I was assingned to Camp Pendleton, Californina. From there I under went an additional six months of training. At the conclusion of that training I was assigned to 1st Battalion 3rd Marines in Hawaii. I was stationed there for five years and did three deployments overseas to places like Korea, Japan, Thailand, Guam, Singapore, Tinian, Saipan, Australia, China, and Vietnam. From there I was stationed in Quantico Virgina. There I served as the Range Control supervisor for all the live fire and training ranges aboard Quantico. I attended the Close Combat Instructor Course and Small Arms Weapons Instructor course, where I proceeded to become a martial arts instructor and weapons instructor. Upon completion of that, I was selected for recruiting duty and spent three years in Denver Colorado as a Marine Recruiter. From there I returned back to the Infantry and spent the next three years with 1st Battlion 4th Marines in Camp Pendleton, CA. I was deployed for OIF II and fought in An Najaf and Fallujuah. I returned home in 2005 and redeployed to Louisanna and Mississippi for Operation Hurricane Katrina. Later that year I returned to Iraq for a second tour. I was medevaced from that tour after two months and then returned back to my unit and came home in late 2006. From there I was stationed at the School of Infrantry where I taught weapons and tactics to young Marines. I applied for the Chief Warrant Officer program while stationed there and was selected for the Marine Gunner Program. I spent 2008 attending school in Quantico Virgina and was commissioned an Officer in Febuary of 2008. I was assigned to 3rd Battalion 1stMarines as the Battlion Gunner and deployed to Afghanistan in April 2010. I returned home in late 2010 and was then further reassigned to 23D Marine Regitment as the Regitmental Gunner, where I currently serve.
