Army Reserves, 8 Years
I served 8 years in the Army Reserves. During this time I was deployed to active duty to Germany during Operation Joint Endeavor. My son was 3 months old & my daughter was 3 years old. It was the hardest thing I had to do in my life but I survived and appreciate my country a lot more. I thought about rejoining after 9/11/01 but my husband would have probably killed me. ( not literally). I am proud of all our service men & women and I wish this country would go back to the patriotism they had after 9/11/01.

I served 8 years in the Army Reserves. During this time I was deployed to active duty to Germany during Operation Joint Endeavor. My son was 3 months old & my daughter was 3 years old. I served in the Army with the 101st Airborne from 1991- 1994 as Infantryman. In 2005, I re-enlisted in the TN National Guard. I served as a Flight Medic on an HH-60 Blackhawk. I was deployed to Kosovo for a 14 month deployment.

I am currently serving in the Army stationed at Fort Knox, KY. Yeah, the gold vault is here but no tours for ME. I enlisted in the Army Reserve in 1992. I needed money for college. It has been a great ride. I spent most of my reserve time in Rome. I went back to JSU to my graduate degree and enrolled in ROTC. I have been on active duty since April 2001. I have been stationed at Fort Hood, TX, Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Fort Knox. I am a Company Commander of a Horizontal Engneer Company. I have two tours in Iraq.
