I enlisted in the Army Reserve in 1971. I served as a traditional Reserve Soldier until 1983 when I entered active duty. I received an appointment as a warrant officer in 1986, commissioned in 1987. I served a tour in Iraq 2004 - 2005 as a maintenance officer. In 2006 I was promoted to the rank of CW5 and in 2007 selected to serve as the Command Chief Warrant Officer-Army Reserve the highest-ranking warrant officer position in the Army Reserve until I retired from the Army in July 2012 after serving 40+ years.

Hood, TX for 9 months, then returned to Viet Nam to finish my enlistment. Worked on helicopter turbine engines first tour, and helicopter airframes second tour.
