Army, 7 Years
I went to AIT at Fort Huachuca, AZ where I was trained as a Military Intelligence System Maintainer and Integrator. I was then stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. I served two tours in Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT). I left the Army in 2013 after seven years of service.

WWII Originally joined Army Air Corps, involuntarily moved to 86th Infantry (as the AC dept was dissolved). Served in Europe and liberated a concentration camp near German/Austrian border. War in Europe ended and the 86th was shipped to the Pacific; en route Japan was bombed & surrendered. We pulled into Philippines port and served cleaning up resistance.

Did 24 years flying in the land-based P-3 Orion as a Naval Air Crewman. Vietnam vet - 2 tours (1969-70). Managed to get to 26 different countries in my 24 years. Retired in 1990 as an ATCS (Senior Chief Avionics Technician). Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the different parts of this wonderful planet during my travels and making so many friends for life.

Accumulated 5,268 flight hours and retired in 1990 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8). Then had to get a real job, so started working on getting degrees and having fun.
