Four years 1 month and 10 days but who's counting? I was an RM 2 Class served 16 months in North Africa, 14 Months on the USS Severn AO-61 a Fleet oiler and 8 Months on the USS Rockville EPCER-851 a patrol Craft escort and rescue. We chased Hurricanes.

It Was a great time i wouldn't have missed it for the world. I had the opportunity to visit places i would not have seen had i not joined the service. I found it to be a maturing experience. I made a lot of lifetime friends.
