Navy, 4 Years
Machinist Mate 2nd Class. Home ported in Pearl Harbor. Served aboard the destroyers USS Philip (DD-498) and USS Fletcher (DD-445). Made three WestPac tours including Japan, Taiwan, The Phillippines, and Viet-Nam. Maintained A/C and refrigeration equipment and the engine room.

Deployed to Somalia-6 Months-1993, Haiti-3 months-1994, Nicaragua-6 months-1999, Iraq (OIF I)-12 months-2003, Iraq (OIF III)-12 months-2005, Iraq (OIF V)-15 months-2007. Currently assigned in Wa and retires in 2014. Shane is married to Justine (also a Combat Vateran Soldier) and has two daughters, Cara-11 and Chloe-newborn.
