Served 4 yrs Active Duty Air Force after graduation. Spent my first 2 yrs in England. Went inactive reserve for awhile, then joined Army Reserves for about a year and a half. Joined Air Force Reserves, actived for 9/11, served on AWACS for 2yrs active duty for Operation Iraq Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Noble Eagle. Transferred to Army National Guard in 2008, retired reserves in 2009 after 22 yrs of service.

Served on board the USS Forrestal 1981 to 1985. Traveled to the great countries of Spain, Greece, Italy, Egypt. Had the great opportunity to travel through the Suez Canal and to the Indian Ocean. I was the secretary for the Command Master Chief. He is one of the best men I had the chance to work with. If you ever get the chance to go to Italy, take a boat from the bay of Naples, Italy and go to the Isle of Capri. Also, if you visit Spain, go to the town of Benidorm. Had a fantastic 10 days of my life.You will meet people from all around the world. Best time to go is in the summer. Still miss my soccer team in 1976.

Come to the Memorial Ceremony on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 1:00 at the intersection of School, Pleasant and Fort Streets to see the 150+ flags at this beautiful memorial site.
