This format is not adequate for my needs. I was commissioned after finishing Med School at UCLA and an internship in 1965 and spent 3.5 years in Germany in a Medical Battalion. After 23 years of civilian life, including residency and fellowship to be an Internal Medicine specialist and Nephrology subspecialist, at age 51, I joined the Navy and was sent to the Naval Medical Center in San Diego where I became head of the division of Nephrology, and taught Naval interns, residents and fellows. I was there from 1991 until 2000.
