Upon graduating from PTHS, I won a full music scholarship to Valley Forge Military Academy...paid for everything...unfortunately, my draft notice was waiting when I arrived. We spent 21 years on active duty. My wife Helga and I had a ball living all over the world. Two years in Korea, seven years in Germany & Austria, three years in Boston and five in San Francisco. Sadly, four years in Kansas....The Army sent me to San Francisco twice without my every asking. God Bless the Army Personnel Office. We retired and have been in The City By The Bay for 30 years last month. I take my grandson to the same coffee shop on Union St where I took my son Patrick when he was 4 years old while stationed at Presidio of San Francisco.
