John retired as a First Sergeant from the Army after 26 years of service in Dec 2006. During his career, he served as a 19D Reconnaissance Specialist (Scout). He was deployed for 1 year in Bosnia and served a 15 month combat tour in Iraq. Currently, John works for the US Bullion Depository located at Fort Knox and resides in Vine Grove, KY, with his wife, Linda. He has three children; John, Joshua, and Brandon.

I joined in 1971, Basic Training and AIT at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Rest of my time served with the 1st Infantry at Fort Riley,Kansas in the Armor Company as a Tank Recovery Specialist. In1973 we went to Germany to participate in the Reforger War Exercises for 3-4 weeks. I was Honorably Discharged in 1974. I was proud to serve my country!

Our Osseo High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
