Served on Active duty from 6/62 'til 8/66, as an enlisted sailor (Yeoman 2nd Class). Transferred to Ready Reserve and in drill-pay status 'til 8/83, at which time I retired as a Lieutenant Commander (restricted line - Intelligence). During my 16 reserve years, I was also a civilian employee of the Navy, working entirely in Washington, DC.
