Navy, 20+ Years
Retired as an E-7. EMC(SS) Ret. In 1994 in Bangor, WA. Served on both the east coast and the west coast. Served as a Nuclear Electrician and as a supervisor, on four fast Attack Submarines and one Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine. Had tours in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the Pacific. Traveled through the Panama Canal on the submarine, surfaced. Spent time as a Nuclear instructor in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Retired as an E-7. EMC(SS) Ret. In 1994 in Bangor, WA. Served on both the east coast and the west coast. Served as a Nuclear Electrician and as a supervisor, on four fast Attack Submarines and one Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine. Had tours in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the Pacific. I have been a part of the Oregon Army National Guard Since 05 May 01. I have served multiple deployments in the Middle East since 9/11. I was in Iraq during the 1st year US and Coalition forces hit Baghdad serving in and around the Baghdad area, to include Basra, Karbala, and Ballahd. And Most recently I completed a 1 yr tour in Afghanistan , serving in Herat and Kandahar. I served as a 240 B Machine Gunner in Iraq with 1-162 Infantry, and as a Fire team Leader in Afghanistan also 1-162 Inf 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Im currently a Sargent and working full time for the Oregon National Guard with a mobile training unit incharge of getting Oregon units the training they need for overseas.

I was discharged as an E-5, which is a Petty Officer 2nd Class. I was an Aviation Storekeeper.

Our Newberg High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
