I JOINED THE NAVY IN JUNE 1983 STARTED OFF AS A FC. "FIRE CONTROL TECHNITION" WHICH IS A LONG WINDED WAY OF SAYING I WORKED ON A GUIDED MISSILE RADAR SYSTEM. THEN MOVED ON TO MILLITARY POLICE, BRIG SUUPERVISOR, AND NAVY CUSTOMS. SERVED ON THE USS. ENGLAND, USS REEVES AND THE USS NORMANDY. ALSO BEEN STATIONED NUMEROUS PLACES AROUND THE WORLD. RETIRED SEPTEMBER 2007

FLIGHT SURGEON IN 8TH AIR FORCE BASED AT WESTOVER, MASS. RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISION 0F FLIGHT SURGEONS GROUP
FOR NE AIR COMMAND. INCLUDED WERE GREENLAND AND NEWFOUNDLAND. While in Newfoiundland I set up an Obstetrical office for the local women who had no such service. As a result a large number "Newfies" were delivered by me and for each I received a huge dinner party in one of local farm houses.
I hope to go back some day and meet the adults I delivered in 1955-1956

Electronics Technician (ET). Served 3 yrs. active and 3 yrs. in reserves. Stationed in Maine for active duty - fantastic. I never set foot on a ship until I was in the reserves. Overall a very positive life choice, I came out of the service a very different person in terms of motivation and personal discipline. My son is currently in the Air Force following the same path as the old man.

Michael served in several capacities. He guarded nuclear missles on naval vessels on missions near Viet Nam. He was a guard/soldier on a ship that ferried wounded soldier from Viet Nam to Guam for serious medical attention. Micahel was serious about his service and served with honor and distinction. I am proud of his service during this very tragic time of conflict.
