Class of 1972
Army, 12 Years
Served from March 1973 - January 1985. Basic Training at Ft McClellan AL. AIT at Ft Lee VA. First female solder to take the course at Ft Lee. First ssignment was at the airfield at Ft McClellan AL. Sep 1974 was assigned to 3rd Inf Div in Kitzingen, Germany. I was 1 of the first 15 women ever assigned there. Returned to the USA in 1979. Attended drill sergeant school at Ft Jackson SC and was then assigned to Ft McClellan. Left reg Army after this asgmt and enlisted in the Reserve. Lived in Birmingham AL while attending school.
