Yes, I was stationed at probably the most prestigious tour of duty available in the USAF.
The USAF Academy is only base in the world where you could spend 20 years there till you retired without having to pickup every few years.
Unfortunately when I was in they were getting rid of everyone due to the changing world military needs so I was left go without any chance of reenlistment.
Had a lot of fun at one of the best places in the world to be stationed, right in the Colorado Rockies

After spending almost a year at Lowery AFB in Colorado, I was stationed at Langley AFB in Virginia. I served 9 years in the active duty as part of a rapid deployment force with the First Tactical Fighter Wing as a calibration technician and quality assurance inspector. I deployed for Desert Shield/Storm. I was one of the first 400 deployed.
Upon release from active duty, I enlisted in the Pa Air National Guard, 193 Special Operations Wing. I became a fultime technician with the unit and still serve today with the 148 Air Support Operations Squadron.
I have deployed in support of missions in Haiti, Iraq,Kuwait, Kosovo, Bosnia, Oman, Afghanistan, Quatar as well as trips to many other interesting countries.
I am proud to continue serving after 29 years. Not sure when I will retire.
