I was playing football at Texas Tech when I was drafted and after basic training I ended up in Korea with the 7th infantry division. Going up Jane Russell Hill I was injured and spent 5 months in Tokyo Army Hospital. I ended up with 8 medals including Purple Heart and bronze star.

I served a year in Vietnam as a helicopter door gunner and crewchief on a UH-1H huey in the 129th. Assault Helicopter Company. 7/17TH. from 70-71. I was a T.OW. Gunner( anti-tank missle) from 79-87 in Alpha Company National Gaurd.here in Lubbock.
