1 1/2 months after graduation I joined the US Army Reserves Military Police, with various other MOSs. 1978 joined US Army National Guard 19th Special Forces Group Airborne (SFGA). Gained other MOSs the primary being light and heavy Weapons. Injured on parachute jump when serving as acting Team Sgt on A136, my rank was SFC, and removed permanently from jump status. Enlisted into the US Army Active Duty 1985. Went from SFC to PV2 and back through basic training a second time. Trained as NBC Specialist, (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Specialist). Assigned to 25th Chemical Company, 4th ID at Fort Carson, CO. December 1997 received medical separation from the Army, after serving the last year as the Battalion Commander's Legal Clerk. Returned home to Utah and was given a 90% VA disability. In July 2012 that was upgraded to a 100% non-employable disability. So I'm effectively medically retired.
