Another Way to Support Stuart

The Raiders Athletic Booster Club is once again on the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA). If you are a Federal employee please consider designating a CFCNCA contribution to the Raiders Booster Club, Inc. (Code 54163). So please alert any J.E.B. Stuart Alumni, who are Federal employees, or Federal employee friends of J.E.B. Stuart that the Raiders Athletic Booster Club is participating in the CFC.

The CFC is the only authorized solicitation of Federal employees in their workplaces on behalf of approved charitable organizations. Your support, on behalf of the Raiders Athletic Boosters is appreciated.

Turf field for Stuart News

The latest update in the battle for getting Stuart's field turfed (from the
2006 Bond referendum) is not a good one. Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross has decided to ignore our requests and the requests of the surrounding neighborhood associations and is STILL insisting on installing the $800Kall-weather turffield at Bailey's Elementary school instead of JEB Stuart...........just wanted to let that sink in for a
moment. Yes, that is correct. An $800,000 all-weather turf field - which isso desperately needed at our school - is slated to be installed at an
elementary school for "community use". We finally got to meet with her last week for 2 very frustrating hours and she won't budge. They (her office and the Park Authority) insist that this installation was common knowledge and that there were no protests or questions about it. It was not common
knowledge. She tried to sneak it thru and no one knew about it until we were told about it on the side recently. We were totally overlooked in this process and that is a shame. No one deserves this field more than our school and our kids and it will be a HUGE waste of
taxpayers money to install it at that location. Baileys is a great
elementary school, but it doesn't need an $800K, unlit turf field for
community soccer games.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Listed below is a link to an online petition. Please read the petition, sign
it if you agree and forward the link to neighbors, friends and family in the
Mason District area. S
