Help us applaud Wythe graduate, Desiree Roots - actor, vocalist, and entertainer along with others on May 4, 7:30 a.m. at the Jefferson Hotel.
This inaugural event of the Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation will benefit the Middle School Renaissance program that provides mentoring, tutoring, and experiential extended day activities for over 500 students in middle schools across the Richmond district.

George Wythe and Univ of Richmond Research Project

Here is an exciting event that you might be interested in. I worked with the University of Richmond last year on a research project about Richmond Public schools last year and they contacted me recently.They are doing a documentary play on George Wythe this year and are requesting our assistance...see below

Calling all Wythe alums! We (Patricia Herrera and Laura Browder) are two University of Richmond professors who are teaching a class on civil rights and education in Richmond—and this year our focus will be on Wythe, a school that has changed a great deal over the decades. As we did last year in the class, we will be interviewing Wythe alums, poring through archival materials—and our students will ultimately be writing and producing a documentary play on this subject, which they will perform in April at UR Downtown. Pre-doctoral fellow Salvador Barajas will be creating a digital archive of images and interviews—and we would love to be able to include photos from your yearbooks and other memorabilia.
