Navy, 4 Years
Photojournalist. Documented Operation "Frequent Wind" (Evacuation of Saigon/Vietnam) and assisted in emergency evacuation efforts during the April/May 1975 time frame - the end of America's military involvement in Vietnam. An article (with photos) of that operation appeared in the prestigious Naval History Magazine in 1995, the 20th anniversary of "Frequent Wind."

Served on two destroyer repair ships, USS Hamul AD-20 and The USS Isle Royal AD-29 homeported in Long Beach Ca. Two of my 4 years service was servicing Destroyers in Pearl Harbor. Received several certificate's of merit for my devote work on Gyro's and associated equipment. I retired 1/28/64.
