Special Operations Combat elements interspersed with numerous combatant destroyer/cruiser commands. Commanded several guided missile/nuclear destroyers and cruisers. Commanded two Special Warfare Commands retiring at the rank of Captain (06). Awarded numerous decorations for combat operation both in overt actions (Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq Enduring Freedom) and classified covert operations.
