As a Army Test Pilot and Maintenance Manager, Joe has over 27 years of worldwide military service experience focusing in Aviation Production Support and Supply Management in the Federal Government and DOD Contracting. During all of his Aviation Maintenance and Logistics assignments, Joe increased aircraft readiness rates in all airframe types by streamlining Intermediate and Depot Maintenance procedures.

Joe has recently taken on a position as the Boeing Senior Support Manager for the Republic of Korea Air Force in Pusan, Korea. He will be responsible for the support of the the AEW&C 737-700 fleet support for Boeing.

Previously, Joe was the Netherlands (RNLAF), Turkey, Spain and Greece CH-47FD/F Support Program Manager and capturing H-47 Chinook Support Programs for multiple international campaigns across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Joe managed the Boeing Global Support Network – Republic of Korea that supported the Pacific Rim countries. He built an integrated supply chain to He implemented a phased approach that began with parts and repairs and expanded into more complex services such as technical data, configuration management, modifications and upgrades for CH-47, F-15K, Presidential 737-300 and other Boeing Platforms. Prior to Boeing, Joe was the Deputy Program Manager for DynCorp International – Pacific Rim Operations providing direct corporate management for over 270 DynCorp Employees in Korea and Japan.

Medical field started by working on a surgical ward. Rapidly advanced and within a year moved to the emergency room. 10 years in emergency room as shift supervisor and NCOIC 2 years in labor and delivery. 2 years as NCOIC of surgery clinic. Based in Torejon, Spain. Clark in Philippines. Rantoul Illinois. Suwon Korea. Hahn Germany. Cheyenne Wyoming. Served 3 tours in the Desert. Would volunteer to help again if asked.

Class of 1979, COL Thomas Hair was graduated from Thomas More College in 1984 with a BA in English Literature. After knocking around doing custom heat treating of metals, working construction sites, and selling plumbing, he enlisted in the US Army Infantry in 1988. In 1990 he graduated from Federal OCS as an Air Defense Artillery Officer, and subsequently served in Germany as a Chaparral Platoon Leader, Battalion S-5, and Battalion Adjutant for 4-3 ADA in Kitzingen, and then as the Division Headquarters Company Executive Officer, 3rd INF Division, in Wuerzburg. He was then assigned as an Observer Controller, working out of the Ft Knox/Louisville area. COL Hair entered the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1999 on an Army HPSP Scholarship, and was graduated in 2003 with an MD. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Martin Army Hospital, and was sent to Ft Knox, Kentucky, where he served as Chief of Family Medicine. COL Hair did a combat tour as a Field Surgeon in Baghdad 2006-2008 with 15th BSB, 1st CAV Division, returned to Ft Knox where he served as both the WTU Battalion Surgeon and Chief of Warrior Care Medicine, and built the first US Army TBI Center in Kentucky. In 2011 COL Hair went to Afghanistan as the Battalion Surgeon for the 201st BSB, 1st INF Division. From 2012 to 2014, COL Hair was the Chief Department of Medicine at Ireland Hospital, Ft Knox, Kentucky. From 2014 to 2016, COL Hair was assigned as Division Surgeon, 3rd INF Division, Ft Stewart, Georgia. He then served as Command Surgeon for the Multinational Force and Observers with Task Force Sinai, Egypt, from 2016 to 2017. He returned to the States, and was assigned as Deputy Commander for Clinical Services, Lyster Clinic, Ft Rucker, Alabama, 2017-2019. COL Hair was assigned to the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory in September of 2019, where he currently serves as the Group Director for Warfighter Performance. He is married to Meg Marguerite-Marie Hair (nee Huber), and lives in Enterprise, Alabama. A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Physicians, he is licensed in the State of Ohio in General Medicine, and has been selected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. His Military Education includes Officers Candidate School, Air Defense Officer Basic, Ordnance Officer Advanced, Command and General Staff College, AMEDD Executive Medicine Course, Army Airborne, and Army Flight Surgeon. His Military Awards include the Bronze Star with oak cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, and the Army Airborne and Army Flight Surgeon badges.
