Enlisted Feb 3, 1967. Commissioned Apr 19, 1967. Retirement effective Apr 30, 1997. Graduate of Army Command & General Staff College (1979) and the Air War College (1986). Three tours of duty on the Air Staff. Two tours of duty on the Joint Staff of the United States. One tour of duty on the staff of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Euope. Squadron Commander 1982-1985. Four years on the faculty of the Army War College. Chair for Air & Space Studies.

i was in the regular army armor (tanks) i was a tank crewman started as a driver then went to loader then was a tank gunner i got to the rank of SGT. also did 1 yr in the national guard engineer battalion in Ellicott City heavy equpment platoon

He has served with Marines Corps elite Reconnassiance Units for nine years to include 2nd Recon Bn, 2nd Force Recon Co., MCSOCOM DET One and Marine Special Operations Command. Has completed Army Jump School, Marine Combat Dive School, Amphibious Reconnassaince School, Military Freefall, SERE, Army Ranger, Marine Scout Sniper and Advanced Sniper. He has Been to Iraq multiple times and has served in Afganhistan.

Naval Aviator flying the A-6 Intruder from the decks of many aircraft carriers. Participated in Grenada, Becka Valley Lebanon strike, Desert Shield, and led the first strike into Iraq from the Red Sea for Desert Storm. Retired as a Captain (O-6) in 1995.

Stationed at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex. NORAD Aerospace Defense Command. 25th Aerospace Defense Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, California with rotational Combat Crew duty at Johnston Island in the Pacific in support of Project 437.
Awards included Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, with clusters, Combat Readiness Medal. Senior Missleman operations badge

Service-connected disability would not let me continue my service. An incident while on Johnston Island had me in the hospital for 6 months in Honolulu, HI.

My family and I had some very good assignments - Germany two extended tours, Hawaii, Utah, Maine, New Mexico,Massachusetts, Vietnam, Utah State University, Hong Kong, Alabama & Belgium.
