Army Aviation, serving 2 tours at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ, Republic of Korea with 2nd Infantry Division, Federal Republic of Germany with 8th Infantry Division.
While serving 2nd tour at Yuma Proving Ground, was with The Developmental Test & Training Detachment that performed tests of the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter.

Oct. 1950 I enlisted in the USAF as a private, in 1953 I was fortunate enough to get into pilot training. June 1954, got my WINGS and commissioned a 2/Lt. Flew mostly fighter aircraft. I would have to say that flying 100 missions over North Viet Nam in the F-105 was was the most memorable of my career.
