Army, 20+ Years
I started my career in 1974 so I could get funding for college. Started out in Artillery and spent two years. Go out and started college at Inver hills Community College. Met my future wife there and decided to go back in the Army our first duty station was Hawaii. over the next four years I made the transition to the Officer Corps and spent the next 24 years in the Army. I retired as a Major in 1999. The bulk of my service was spent as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Weapons Officer
The Army was a great way of life even with all the moves and deployments it gave an opportunity to experience so much but still realize just how wonderful our way of life is.

Class of 1981
Air Force, 15 Years
Short Story: I started in the USAF in 1986, after a few years of college Aviation and Computer Science, and managing and airport in Anoka County (Anoka County Airport). First in the job in the USAF was a 463X0 Nuclear Weapons Specialist. That job was to build, test, and upgrade Nuclear weapons. Retrained into the 99104 career field, Systems Repair Technician, (fix anything anywhere, a very small career field in the AF) where I went to many overseas locations. Became the lead RF (Radio Frequency) R&D (Research and Development) Technician, and the NCOIC of AFTAC’s (Air Force Technical Applications Center RF, R&D, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge).
