Enlisted for Infantry OCS. Made senior candidate before the Army realized they had over enlisted officer candidates. They offered to shorten my tour by a year, to guarantee State-side duty, and to keep my E5 rank. (Duh, even a Ranger could figure that one out!) They moved me and my family to Killeen, TX where I finished my tour with the17th Eng Bn, 2nd AD.
