David "Bill" W. Dinges Jr.
Class of 1966
In November 1995 I was inducted into the Order of Military Medical Merit and awarded the Order’s Medal in a ceremony in Heidelberg, Germany during the annual United States Army Dental Corps Birthday Ball. I was assigned as the Civilian Executive Officer of the United States Army Dental Activity Vicenza, Italy. At that time only the top 5% of personnel in the US Army Medical Command are awarded this honor, of that, only .002% is Civilians and I was then first Department of the Army Civilian of the Dental Corps to be awarded this honor.
