Fleet Support Officer (formerly known as General Unrestricted Line officer). What does this mean? I'm able to serve my country in nearly any capacity. I've managed program funds for programs, training and travel; supervised a travel agency that supported the movement of 10,000 passengers within 10 months; headed the Navy's telephone company in Japan with 5 geographically separated sites; earned a master's degree and a master's certificate; served as an exercise officer to plan and train military personnel for potential contingency scenarios; supported ships visiting the Middle East; led a staff to tend to the needs of transient Sailors waiting for their ship or medical clearance; served as head of two small bases in Japan while participating in activities with the local Japanese community and providing opportunities for the underprivileged to visit the bases; and provided plans and programming guidance for prepositioning and sealift ships (the ships that carry military equipment around the world).
