Memorial for Esther Bernal

Many of you may have known Esther Bernal, she went to Lincoln High School, but had hundreds, too many to count, friends from San Jose High, and many of you may have known her brother Raymond Bernal, he went to San Jose High in the 60's. He lost his life in the Vietnam War and the park on 7th and Hedding was named for
him...The Raymond Bernal Park. Esther was a warm, funny, life of the party type girl. She showed up every year
at the Big Bone Bash, and always asked, "Hey, where's the blue and gold"?, She loved Raider football and was an avid boxing fan, attending many "Fight Nights at the Tank". I know personally, Esther was fun to be around, and always made you feel comfortable. If this was the Roaring 20's, Esther would be classified, lovingly so, as
a "Good Old Broad"........She will be missed by all of us, especially by me on November 25th. I am attaching a flyer sent to me by Teresa Rodriguez explaining all about
a "Celebration of Life" for Esther that will be held at BLOCKERS on this Friday. The info is on the flyer for those of you who want to attend, it is a potluck.......

Esther it is All About YOU!
A Celebration of Esther’s Life!

Pot luck - Bring a Dish to Share, and Talk About Esther’s Life!

A Memorial In Honor of Esther, Let us Share Our Memories and Toast to Esther’s Life, Laughter, Her Dancing, and Conversation!

Lincoln High Golf Tournament

On Monday, October 12, 2009, the Lincoln High School Athletic Booster Club will hold its Twelfth Annual Friends of Lincoln High School Golf Tournament at Santa Teresa Golf Club to benefit the student-athletes and the thirty-four sports programs at Lincoln High School. For the past eleven years the Athletic Booster Club has used money raised through the Golf Tournament to pay for capital improvements desperately needed by the student/athletes at Lincoln High School. With the financial support of the Golf Tournament, the dedication of our coaches, and the hard work and long hours of the student/athletes, our teams have greatly improved and grown over the past few years. Monies raised through the tournament will ensure that our current athletic program continues to thrive and that we honor the rich history of athletics at Lincoln High School. We invite you to join us for the Twelfth Annual Friends of Lincoln High School Golf Tournament. The event will be held again at the Santa Teresa Golf Club. Registration will begin at 11:00 A.M. with a BBQ lunch and drinks on the course included. At 12:30 P.M., the Scramble Format will begin with a shotgun start.
