| About Me | I am a retired Navy Cheif Hospital Corpsman, Independent Duty Submarine Force. Since retirement, I have graduated from: The George Washington University School of Medicine, BS in Health Sciences; The Southern Illinois University, BS Vocational Education; The University of New Haven, Certificate 30 hours graduate certificate, Long-Term Care Administration; New England School of Lay Ministry, a two year study program based on a Master in Divinity program, but without the written tests, Synodically Authorized Lay Minister (SALM). I am currently serving as a part-time, non-paid SALM, providing for the pastoral care of my congregation. I have all the duties and responsibilities of a Pastor, but without the title. What's in a title anyhow. This happens to be the best job, position, gig, that I have ever had. I feel I am privileged to have this wonderful congregation to serve. Who knows, I may decide to go to Seminary and go for the Ordination, but in the mean time, this is where I am and is the call to which God and the congregation has called me. I am married and have a very supportive wife when it comes down to the hours I spend at the church and facilitating evening programs. I could not have made it through the school or been able to take this position without her support and understanding of the process. I think it is really cool that my children always know where they can find me. I am very proud of my children, all of whom have succeeded in their search for happiness and meaning of life. I do think it is quite funny that my daughters are in Texas and my sons are here in Connecticut. I am also very proud of my step daughter Michele, who has just graduated from The Roger Williams University, School of Law. She is now preparing for her Bar Exam, no guys, not like in the Bud-Lite commercials. I am also very proud of my sons fiancee's Akemi and Samantha both are blessings to them and they both have a unique ability to bring out the best in them.
