Joined the Navy with classmates, Wayne Lee and Stewart Mitchell after graduation in 1956. After completing four year tour of duty was honorably discharged. Attended San Jose State, was distinguished AFROTC graduate. Attended Air Force pilot training and flew over 4000 hours in variety of aircraft and helicopters. Completed over 34 years of service and retired as Colonel in 1992 Currently living in Montgomery, Alabama and employed as Executive Director of the Air University Foundation at Maxwell AFB.

Larry was active in sports at Willow Glen, exceling in Football, Basketball & Baseball. Larry died during the Tet offensive and is enshrined on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, DC and on the recently erected memorial by the HP Pavilion.

Our Willow Glen High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Willow Glen High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in San Jose are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
