Marine Corps, 6 Years
Dr. Blackstock was a member of an elite unit in the Marine Corps involved in a number of covert combat missions and later provided security for President John F. Kennedy.

Army, 2 Years
Received my "Greetings" from Uncle Sam on April 1,1968. Reported for duty on April 25, 1968. Took Basic Training at Ft. Dix, NJ and my AIT (Advanced Individual Training) at Ft. Dix, NJ and FT Gordon, GA. Served in Vietnam with the 25th Infantry Division from Dec. 1968 to Dec. 1969. Was discharged in Dec. 1969. Would give a million dollars for the experience but wouldn't do it a gain for a million dollars.
